Brewers Savor Post-Season Play After 29 Year Absence

The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Saint Louis Cardinals 9-6 Sunday, as the two teams opened baseball's National League Championship Series in Milwaukee. It's been 29 years since the Brewers have been this far in the playoffs, and the team's success has brought some much needed unity to the divided state of Wisconsin.

Weighty Challenge: A Lineman's Life After Football

Former Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman Orlando Brown was found dead last month due to complications from diabetes. Brown is one of five NFL linemen who've died in the past decade from weight-related ailments as more players find themselves pushing past 300 pounds in order to stay in the game.

Oakland Raiders' Al Davis 'True Legend' Of The Game

Longtime Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis, whose maverick style had a huge impact on professional football, has died. The 82-year-old saw his team win three Super Bowls. His independent streak was both admired and excoriated, but stubbornness in his later years was blamed for the team's struggles. NPR's Allison Keyes has this remembrance.
