Literally overnight, D.C. Public Schools' leaders changed their minds and went from all schools being open today to a district-wide shutdown in the wake of yesterday's earthquake. School officials say they were dealing with information that kept coming in throughout the night.

While much of the D.C. area is back to business as usual today after the earthquake, it's not so easy for those closer to the epicenter. The town of Culpeper, Va., located less than 40 miles north of the quake's epicenter, is facing a pretty hefty cleanup.

Officials at the National Cathedral say early damage estimates from the earthquake could be "millions" of dollars.

The National Zoo says some of its animals knew about yesterday's quake well before any humans did.

Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell says there appears to be no major damage or injuries from a 5.8 magnitude earthquake that hit near Mineral, Va.

The North Anna Nuclear Plant located near the epicenter of Virginia's 5.9 magnitude earthquake was taken offline and several other plants were being inspected.
