The right-wing Hindu nationalist won in a landslide, ending more than half a century of political domination of the Nehru-Gandhi family dynasty and the Congress party. The U.S. will have to work to repair relations with the new leader, who was denied a visa to the States in 2005. We explore what new leadership means for India and its foreign policy.
