This NPR News special will be hosted by Linda Wertheimer as she and guests analyze President Obama's troop level increase in Afghanistan.
The special includes excerpts from the president’s Dec. 1 speech and excerpts from Dec. 2 appearances on Capitol Hill by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Michael Mullen, Secretary of Defense Robert Gates and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Wertheimer will be joined in the studio by NPR political and national security correspondents.
