WAMU Bluegrass Country: New Year's Eve Live From the Birchmere

Katy Daley and Michael Lee Dempsey will host our first live broadcast from the Birchmere, and certainly our first live broadcast of 2010.
From Alexandria, Virgina, we'll be ringing in the New Year with as much Bluegrass and D.C. flavor as possible. Katy Daley found us a pick-up truck and we packed it up with equipment, fired up the ISDN lines and away we go! We'll hear from D.C.-based bands The Seldom Scene, Darren Beachley and Legends of the Potomac, and Dead Men's Hollow. And of course sing Auld Lang Syne (bluegrass-style) at the stroke of midnight!
