This Week on Metro Connection: Migrations

Welcome to "Metro Connection," I'm Rebecca Sheir. And today, we are on the move, tracking people, businesses, ideas, even some flora and fauna, as they flow in and out of our region. In other words, we're talking about migrations. We'll get the latest on the hundreds of foreign teachers that Prince George's county schools hired and now are sending home.

We'll take a culinary tour of the New York restaurants popping up in D.C. and hear how these big apple transplants are affecting the local food scene. We'll learn how residents are coping with the gaggles of Canada geese that refuse to migrate from our region. And we'll go inside the home away from home for thousands of plants, smuggled to the U.S. from other countries.
