Catching Up With Colleen Fay

As a lifelong musician, Colleen Fay composes music and sings baritone in various local church and synagogue choirs. Colleen Fay was Peter Fay, until she transitioned from male to female at age 63.
In 2007, Peter Fay -- a recognizable face and voice to many Washingtonians -- became Colleen Fay. Rebecca Sheir talks with Colleen about the transition, and how life has been since she decided to embrace her true self.
