The Embassy Adoption Program has classes of 5th and 6th graders "adopted" by an embassy. As WAMU education reporter Kavitha Cardoza tells us, students spend a year each visiting the embassies for film screenings, food tastings and meetings with dignitaries to expand global understanding among D.C.'s youth.
