Crummy But Good with Donovan Kelly
Between 1997 and 1999, Donovan Kelly wrote a column for the Washington Post called "Crummy But Good." The idea was to find places that looked really sketchy from the outside - places that, in Donovan's words, "You'd be afraid to bring your Mom if she was wearing her best dress." The catch was, these rough-and-ready joints also had to offer fantastic food on the inside.
Donovan Kelly is our Crummy But Good Food Editor and author of these reviews. He welcomes your suggestions and comments on crummy but good restaurants we should visit. Send them to crummybut@aol.com. Or you can visit Mr. Crummy's website
