This morning, the nation's highest court is expected to announce its ruling on the constitutionality of the District's handgun ban. We'll analyze the ruling and look at the roots of gun violence in the nation's capital.

The District just closed roughly two dozen public schools, leaving the city with a score of empty buildings located in strategic corners of the city. The Fenty administration already has plans for some of these sites, which include converting one school into the Department of Parks and Recreation's new headquarters. Architect and Washington Post columnist Roger Lewis joins us to discuss how the other vacated school buildings can be transformed into exciting and useful resources for the city.
