12:06Voting Irregularities in Maryland

Many Maryland election officials would prefer to forget the state's 2006 primaries. Long lines, technical glitches and reports of intimidation plagued polling places across the state two years ago. Now, a task force is recommending a series of changes to try to prevent similar problems from happening in this November's election. We'll look at those suggestions and discuss whether they're enough to ensure a smooth election this fall.

It's one of the quirky rites of spring in our region -- every year, amateur artists and tinkerers converge on Baltimore's Inner Harbor to take part in a "Kinetic Sculpture Race". Competing in home-made floats, they take to land and sea over fifteen miles and eight hours. Join Kojo for a preview of this year's race and meet a team from a local school.
