In the age of the Internet, you might think national borders are unimportant. But the world wide web also amplifies the reach of national laws. And many companies -- especially newspapers, publishing houses, and IT companies -- are confronting confusing and often contradictory regulations governing free expression. Tech Tuesday explores how our media landscape is affected by libel laws in Britain, anti-extremist regulations in France, journalist-suppression in China, and more.
John Morris, Director of the Internet Standards, Technology and Policy Project, Center for Democracy and Technology
Jonathan Zittrain, Professor of Internet Governance and Regulation, Oxford University; Visiting Professor of Law, Stanford University
