Journalist Bill Moyers has devoted several public television specials to the rise of poetry in late 20th century America. His new book, "Fooling With Words: A Celebration of Poets and Their Craft" (William Morrow), features conversation with some of the country's most prominent and gifted poets. Throughout the hour, poets from around the country will join in to share their work.

In his latest work, he explores the movements of Irish people to North America and Australia due to famine, political persecution, and other hardships. The book is called "The Great Shame and the Triumph of the Irish in the English-Speaking World" (Nan A. Talese/Doubleday).
