Two years ago on the campus of Virginia Tech, a disturbed student gunned down thirty-two of his classmates and teachers. An English professor who had reached out to the troubled young man talks about the tragedy.

Lucinda Roy, Alumni and Distinguished Professor of English at Virginia Tech. She is also author of the novel "Lady Moses" and several poetry books. She teaches courses on creative writing, the civil rights movement, and literature.

Dr. Edward Spencer, is Vice President for Student Affairs at Virginia Tech.

Dr. Carol Bernstein, is President-Elect of the American Psychiatric Association. She serves as Associate Professor of Psychiatry and is an Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education at the NYU School of Medicine.
