Daniel Barenboim, Music Director of the Berlin State Opera. He is also the principal guest conductor of the La Scala Opera House in Milan, Italy. He conducted the Chicago Symphony Orchestra for fifteen years and is the author of 'A Life in Music.' He co-authored 'Parallels and Paradoxes' with Edward Said.
