The man who preceded "Lula" -- Luiz Ignacio Lula da Silva -- as president of Brazil joins Diane to talk about his country's dramatic changes in the 20th century and the role he played in bringing Brazil into the 21st century.

Diane takes a break from the usual Readers' Review format this month to talk with Irish writer John Banville. He will describe and answer questions about his 2005 Man Booker prize winning novel, "The Sea."
