Jon Katz ended his book "A Dog Year" with a story of taking his new border collies to a sheep farm. In his latest book, Katz tells the story of his three border collies, a cold winter spent on a forty-acre farm with more than a dozen sheep, and how his dogs made him a better person.
Jon Katz, author of six novels and ten works of nonfiction, he writes columns about dogs and rural life for "Slate" and cohosts an award-winning show, "Dog Talk," on Northeast Public Radio.
