About Bryan Russo
Coastal Reporter Bryan Russo has spent the last eight years living, working, and raising his family on the Eastern Shore, and with the launch of Coastal Connection on WRAU 88.3 FM, he hopes to shine a spotlight on the interesting stories of the many people who live and visit the Eastern Shore.

"I want to hold a weekly conversation about the issues and the people that make this area so appealing for millions of people to visit each year and for the many others who call the peninsula their home," said Russo.

Prior to coming to WAMU, Russo covered the Ocean City news beat for the Maryland Coast Dispatch, and quickly developed a reputation as a trusted journalist with a penchant for thorough investigative reports, thought provoking features, and not only finding, but also eloquently telling the stories of the people of the region. Prior to coming to the Eastern Shore, Russo worked for the Philadelphia Bureau of the Associated Press, working as a stringer for the city’s NHL and NBA teams, and for Aroundphilly.com as the Managing Editor and head critic.

In addition, Russo is also an acclaimed singer-songwriter and composer, whose music has been heard all over the world on radio, TV, and film.

Russo resides in Historic Berlin, Md., with his wife, Andrea, and his two young children.
