Bluegrass Signal is produced and hosted by Peter Thompson in the studios of KALW in San Francisco.

The show usually features a theme and the music is taken from classic as well as recent releases. Peter provides background and contextual information and often includes live sessions and/or interviews with musicians.

One thing you can count on: the music is almost always from the Left Coast or from bands appearing in the San Francisco Bay area.
