Apr. 30-May 18: In Other Words: A Native Primer
You can see a new exhibit at Flashpoint Gallery in D.C. through May 18. In Other Words: A Native Primer marks Anna Tsouhlarakis' Washington debut. The artist of Creek, Navajo, and Greek ancestry says she's, "just trying to integrate the greater Native American community of D.C. into the more contemporary art scene". The installation blends sculpture and text to explore Native American identity and its relationship to contemporary life in our nation's capital.

Apr. 30-Jun. 9: Twelfth Night
Shakespeare's Twelfth Night opens today at Folger Elizabethan Theatre in D.C. Directed by Robert Richmond, the comedy follows young people who fall in love--with the wrong person. After surviving a shipwreck, Viola poses as her twin brother Sebastian and begins to work for Duke Orsino. But things get interesting when the maiden in disguise wins the heart of her master's proclaimed beloved. You can see this tale of love, secrets and deception through June 9.
