Mar. 26-Apr. 7: DCist Exposed
The DCist Exposed Photography Show is back for its seventh year with a collection of images depicting D.C. life and culture. Nearly 600 entries were submitted to the contest, but only 42 made it onto the walls at Long View Gallery in Northwest. You can check out the winning photos through April 7. There will be a D.C.-inspired opening reception tonight and tomorrow from 6 to 10 p.m., where guests can enjoy music by DJ Sequoia, hors d'oeuvres provided by Farm to Feast, and an open bar featuring local beer from Three Stars Brewing Company. The advance tickets are sold out, but you can still snag tickets at the door for $15.

The D.C. Council has taken steps to accelerate tax cuts for all income earners. They're part of a broader overhaul of the city's tax levels, but some council members argued there wasn't enough time for a rigorous debate about the new schedule. We explore the debate over cutting taxes for D.C. residents and how it affects the city's ability to pay for critical local services.
