Jan. 22-Feb. 2: Sapiosexual
Can you pinpoint what most attracts you to others? For some it's a shapely pair of legs, a glittering set of eyes, shared interests or even a sense of humor. But sapiosexuals are drawn to intelligence. Local visual artists Jeremy Flick, Ian Jehle, and Brandon Morse explore that theme with paint, pencil and ink, and code, respectively, through February 2 at Studio 1469. The combination of their artistic brainpower results in an abstract yet distinctly cerebral collection.

Jan. 22-Feb. 22: Locale Unlimited
For more work that puts the "art" in "smart" you can head to Creative Alliance in Baltimore through February 22 to see Locale Unlimited, an installation of paper cutouts and lights that are triggered as viewers walk through the space, which is continually redefined as the room alternates between darkness and light. Artists Jeremy Stern and Adam Franchino collaborated on the project, which blends technology and geography.
