This year the fireworks return to the First Night Alexandria New Year's Eve Bash.
Dec. 31: First Night Alexandria New Year's Eve Bash
If you don't have someone to kiss at midnight, you can still see fireworks at the First Night Alexandria New Year's Eve Bash. The ten-hour-long party features 100 live performances at 19 indoor venues, then rounds off with an explosive midnight finale over the Potomac River. During the afternoon, there will be kid-friendly activities including The First Night Fun Hunt and face painting! The Old Town Alexandria event starts with performances beginning at 7 p.m. and ends in 2013!
Dec. 31: Creative Cauldron's New Year's Eve Bash
You can ring in the new year with music and dancing at Creative Cauldron in Falls Church. The 21-plus New Year's Eve Bash starts at 8 p.m. with performances by local rock band Jackwagon and special guest, Helen Hayes Award-winner Carolyn Cole.
Dec. 31: New Year's Eve at ArtSpace Herndon
You don't have to shell out wads of cash to have a good time tonight. You can celebrate New Year's Eve at ArtSpace Herndon's free celebration, which starts at 7 p.m. You can enjoy folk dancing and music, and get toasty by a roaring bonfire.
