


Nov. 2-Nov. 4: Día de los Muertos: The Art of Remembrance
You can head down to The Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria for its 4th annual Día de los Muertos extravaganza! The Center's Target Gallery is hosting an exhibition of altar installations and Day of the Dead-inspired artwork through November 4th, and there will be a special dance party tonight, from 8 to 11 p.m. featuring live music by The Torches, a costume contest, and DIY mini altars.
Nov. 2-25: Metalwork 2012
VisArts at Rockville presents METALWORK 2012 with an opening reception tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. The show includes jewelry, hollowware and small sculpture made by members of the Washington Guild of Goldsmiths. Guild members will be available at tonight's reception to explain the techniques used in crafting the various works of art, which you can view through November 25th.
Nov. 2-30: "IN DIALOGUE": Paintings by Scooter Flaherty and Sculpture by Jon McMillan
Painter Scooter Flaherty and Sculptor Jon McMillan present "In Dialogue" at Cross MacKenzie Gallery. The pieces will be up through November 30th, and there will be an opening reception tonight from 6 to 8 p.m.
