There's no set guide to life, which may be why people tend to lose themselves along the way. In The Conference of the Birds the world's winged creatures embark on a journey to find their king, but instead realize a profound secret. Based on the 12th-century poem by Farid Uddi Attar, this stage adaptation is directed by two-time Helen Hayes Award-winner Aaron Posner. The production is at Folger Theatre through November 25.
