(Sept. 28-Oct. 13) Opera in the Outfield (and at The Kennedy Center)
There are plenty of ways to close out your September 2012 in style this weekend. The Kennedy Center has Mozart's masterpiece Don Giovanni through mid-October. If you don't feel like getting all dolled up, Saturday night's performance will be simulcast at Nationals Park. Opera in the Outfield has a few pregame activities too, including stage-fighting demonstrations, flamenco dancing, and a screening of the Bugs Bunny classic What's Opera, Doc?.

(Sept. 28-Nov. 4) Many Nights with Janis Joplin
Arena Stage opens One Night with Janis Joplin today. The musical event is staged for much more than one night, and takes audiences through the life and inspirations of the rock legend.

(Sept. 30) The best burlesque in all Adams Morgan
Washington's Tilted Torch specializes in variety shows. This weekend it's bringing burlesque, belly dance, and song to Bossa in Adams Morgan. The show's called Modern Elegance, so expect leading ladies Malibu, GiGi Holliday, and Shortstaxx to present a real classy night of entertainment.
