(Sept. 19-Nov. 4) Drawing the Found Line
A couple of local artists are collaborating to draw lines at Artisphere in Arlington beginning today. It may not sound like much, but they would argue otherwise. Drawing the Found Line brings Jassie Rios and Renee Van der Stelt together for three separate occasions of live line drawing representing sound, light, and movement on-site in the Works in Progress Gallery at Artisphere.

(Sept. 20-April 11) More drawing, more salon
If you're an adult who takes drawing seriously and has been yearning to hone your craft, there's a Drawing Salon at the National Gallery of Art waiting to make your wildest drawing dreams come true. The first workshop is held tomorrow from 1 to 3. Artists and museum educators lead discussions and sketch sessions inspired by works in the permanent collection. The series continues through April.

(Sept. 20-Oct. 6) Drawing inspiration from black vaudeville and race riots
D.C.'s force/collision collective draws inspiration from black vaudeville and the Tulsa race riot to perform Shape at the Atlas Performing Arts Center in Northeast tomorrow through October 6. Variety acts, dance, and folklore are par for the course.
