(Sept. 15) Bringing the heat to H Street
With fall comes the festivals. If you want to get started a little early there’s the H Street Festival tomorrow in Northeast Washington. Expect all that regular festival fare on top of five stages of music, fashion shows, street parades, the Baltimore Rock Opera Society and really artful automobiles.

(Sept. 15-Nov. 3) Skin
Odds are you’ll see some body modification if you head out to H Street Saturday, but for a more thorough exploration of the cultural significance and artistry of tattoos, henna, bodypainting, hair, and makeup there’s Skin at Strathmore tomorrow through early November. Not only does the exhibition showcase six artists’ body of work, but there are opportunities for you and the kids to explore a vintage tattoo parlor and all the possibilities of henna on your own bods.

(Sept. 14-Oct. 21) Occupy This!
The Occupy movement is all but gone a year after it dominated headlines across the country and beyond. Occupy This! examines what the movement meant with art, photography, documents, and film through late October at American University’s Katzen Arts Center.
