(Sept. 8) Face of America: Spirit of South Florida
Wolf Trap celebrates our national parks Saturday night with Face of America: Spirit of South Florida. The multimedia experience weaves together live music and live dance with recorded music and high-definition video of dance performed on location in Florida’s finest open spaces. Cuban-American timba band Tiempo Libre and acclaimed multi-instrumentalist Andrew Bird provide some of the sounds.

(Sept. 8-15) Just another Photo-Op
If you want to have a good laugh at one of our national traditions, there’s Photo-Op this weekend and next at Artisphere in Arlington. The 60-minute opera about the absurdity of modern presidential politics finds two singers delivering stump speeches, walking tight ropes, and debating in the midst of a harmonious score.

(Sept. 8-30) Target hits a quarter-century
