(July 28-May 26) Investigating Where We Live
Every year the National Building Museum cedes a little curatorial control over to a group of adolescents to study their surroundings. This year’s Investigating Where We Live is a visual journey through Anacostia. Teens explored the neighborhood with digital cameras, notepads, and sketchbooks, and returned to the museum to design and install an exhibition based on their work. It’s all on display tomorrow through late May.

(July 27) The Planets in HD
A slightly different exploration of where we live is presented at Vienna’s Wolf Trap tonight. You can take a tour of planet Earth from not-so-far away space in The Planets - An HD Odyssey. Footage from NASA’s latest high-definition explorations of the solar system is paired with a performance of Gustav Holst’s The Planets.

(July 27-Sept. 2) Snow White and the 7 Dwarves

The Puppet Co. at Glen Echo Park presents a mostly faithful version of the classic fairy tale through early September, with a few exceptions thrown in to keep the adults engaged.
