The "17th Annual Made in Honk Kong Film Festival" brings a gangster movie parody to the Freer Gallery this weekend.
(July 20-Aug. 12) No Lazy Susan
The Capital Fringe Festival is in full swing for another ten days, but it’s not the only theater game in town. D.C.’s Unexpected Stage Company brings Harold Pinter’s The Dumb Waiter to the Randolph Road Theatre in Silver Spring through mid-August. The darkly comic short is centered around two hit men who nearly kill each other while waiting for a marked man.
(July 20-Aug. 19) Once a Gangster
If you want even more mobsters in your life the Freer Gallery on the National Mall screens Once a Gangster tomorrow night and Sunday afternoon. The gangster movie parody from Hong Kong features two rising criminal masterminds who do everything they can to remain in school and stay working at a restaurant. The film is screening as part of the museum’s 17th Annual Made in Hong Kong Film Festival, which continues through mid-August.
(July 19-22) Dragons need training too
The District will be hot this weekend, but it will be much hotter than normal if you venture near Verizon Center on account of an army of fire-breathing dragons-over twenty of them. The How to Train Your Dragon Live Spectacular features a young Viking who befriends a fire-breathing creature today through Sunday.
