If you picked up some of your best dance moves in college, you’re not alone. The proof is at The Kennedy Center all weekend. This year’s National College Dance Festival brings 30 of the country’s colleges and universities together to showcase the finest in undergraduate, graduate, and faculty performance.

(May 25-July 1) Scary fun
If things go according to plan, there’s college and then marriage, with a few ritual celebrations in between. One of those rituals fails to go according to plan in Bachelorette, at Northwest Washington’s Studio Theatre through the first of July. Three unhappy friends show up to a posh Manhattan hotel room the night before a former classmate’s wedding to raise hell.

Wolf Trap gets into the spirit of summer and Memorial Day with its 2012 Summer Blast Off! Sunday night. The season-opener features “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band playing a set of concert band favorites and lives up to its name with fireworks.
