Things that have been loved at least twice are celebrated along with live music in Twice is Nice tonight in conjunction with the Second Lives: the Age-Old Art of Recycling Textiles exhibit. South African visual artist Paul Emmanuel opens Transitions at Baltimore’s Maryland Institute College of Art tomorrow. A series of staged photographs of turning points in the lives of men explore how the military has influenced notions of masculinity in his native country.
