Jan. 15-Feb. 25: Pre-Inaugural Events at the National Museum of the American Indian
The Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian is hosting a photography exhibit and multicultural festival in honor of Inauguration Day. A Century Ago: They Came as Sovereign Leaders goes on view today. It features photos from President Theodore Roosevelt's 1905 inaugural parade, which included six chiefs from different Indian nations who came to address the welfare of their people. Out of Many: A Multicultural Festival of Music, Dance, and Story takes place this Friday through Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The first day will be dedicated to indigenous cultures of the Western Hemisphere, while this weekend's events are devoted to cultures from all over the world that have found a home in Washington, D.C.

Jan. 15: Czech Film Retrospective
At 7 p.m. tonight you can indulge in Czech food and film at Bistro Bohem, where the Embassy of the Czech Republic will kick off its screening series of movies by Oscar-winning director Jiri Menzel. Tonight's featured film is Pearls of the Deep (Perlicky na dne).
