A Prince George's County police officer stops a driver near Central High School in Capitol Heights, Md. to see if he or she has any information about the morning of Sept. 11, when 18-year-old Marckel Ross was murdered while walking to school.

Prince George's County Police were out in force along the 6100 block of Old Central Avenue in Capitol Heights, Md. this morning looking for information about the murder of teenager Marckel Ross on Sept. 11

Officers are handing out fliers and asking for any information pertaining to Ross' murder or a robbery of another individual that may have occurred shortly before the homicide.

"We have a high police presence, we're seeking information regarding the Marckel Ross homicide," says Maj. George Nader with the county's police force. "We have a tip that there was an individual who may have been robbed just prior to the  homicide and that robbery went unreported, so we are asking that individual to contact this police department."

Authorities are also targeting anyone traveling in the area this morning because they believe drivers may be those who frequently travel there and may have seen something that morning in September.

"We're looking for any information regarding the morning of Sept. 11, no matter how small it is," Nader says. "If they saw something, they may feel it's insignificant. We'd like that information to come to us so we can investigate it."

Ross was killed as he walked from his home to Central High School.

It's Boom Times For Pop-Up Shops As Mobile Shopping Clicks

One-click online shopping is changing how we shop. Stores with leases as short as a day are proliferating — meaning a storefront can be a designer clothing store one day and a test kitchen the next.
