Two Montgomery County School employees are under arrest this morning in two separate investigations into child sexual abuse.

The first case involves a Cuyler Cornell, a 7th grade teacher at Neelsville Middle School in Germantown. Police say Cornell befriended a 14-year-old boy in his class and began an inappropriate relationship with that student.

Police were tipped off by witnesses and the teacher has been charged with two counts of committing a third-degree sex offense and one count of sexual abuse of a minor.

The second, unrelated case involves 39-year-old Aaron La Mere, a former media services technician at Northwood High School in Silver Spring. Police began investigating La Mere after being tipped off that he had male child pornography on his work laptop.

That investigation revealed that LaMere had allegedly solicited male students for sex, inappropriately touched two of the victims, and exposed himself. He has been charged with 17 counts of various sexual offenses.
