Britain's Prince Harry is in Washington to accept an award for his charitable activities on behalf of wounded servicemen, according to the Associated Press.
The prince is expected to visit with wounded veterans today at the British ambassador's residence. This evening, he'll be attending an awards dinner hosting by the Atlantic Council at the Ritz Carlton Hotel.
Harry, who is training as an Apache helicopter military pilot, has worked with a number of charities, including Walking With the Wounded, a British organization that retrains and re-educates veterans, as well as Help for Heroes, which helps wounded servicemen and women.
The Atlantic Council is a D.C.-based think tank. Tonight's annual awards ceremony will also honor United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
