Montgomery County Police are now investigating the fourth carjacking in Wheaton in the past week -- although they aren't saying whether this morning's incident at the Burger King in the 12000 block of Veirs Mill Road is related to the other three incidents.
Two victims were carjacked around 1 a.m. today in the parking lot of the fast food restaurant. They were approached by two men, one of whom was armed, and forced out of the car. The suspects drove the car away, and have not been apprehended.
The incident occurred just a few miles from the Westfield Wheaton shopping center, where three elderly men were carjacked over the long Thanksgiving weekend. The third incident, for which Montgomery police yesterday released surveillance video of the suspect, involved a 77-year-old man who was threatened with a box cutter, kidnapped, severely beaten, and forced to make several ATM withdrawals.
Police have also said they may have DNA evidence on the suspect in that case. It is not yet clear whether the Westfield Wheaton mall incidents are related to this morning's carjacking.

The predictions indicate that the media consumption habits of many Americans have changed since the last set of presidential debates four years ago.
