District Boy Shot On Halloween Dies

A young man who was shot in the head on the 2800 block of M Street NW on Halloween night has died, according to police. Authorities have identified the deceased as Tyronn Vincent Garner, 17, of Southeast D.C.

Garner was shot amid the Halloween celebrations in Georgetown shortly before 11 p.m. Oct. 31, according to police. Garner wast transported to a nearby hospital. He died around 8 p.m. last night. 

Police are still looking for information related to the case. The M Street NW shooting was one of several that occurred on Halloween night, although it was the only fatal incident.
