Jul. 8-14: DC Hip-Hop Theater Festival

Hip-Hop is so much more than rap music, and you can discover just how versatile the genre can be at the DC Hip-Hop Theater Festival, showcasing dance, music, film, theater and public artwork through July 14. This Wednesday at 9 p.m. you can go to The Howard Theatre to see DC Loves Dilla, a tribute show headlined by De La Soul. Or you can head to Dance Place in Northeast at 8 p.m. this Friday and Saturday for the Jack Ya Body Dance Showcase, featuring breaker Raphael Xavier and "street dancer" Storyboard P.

Jul. 8-21: Double Take: Woody Allen

Starting tonight the Washington DC Jewish Community Center presents Double Take: Woody Allen. The film series will include back-to-back screenings of Annie Hall and The Purple Rose of Cairo through July 14, then switch it up to show Manhattan and Crimes and Misdemeanors through July 21. The double feature events will be held every day except for Fridays.
