Jan. 28: Take Action Tour

Rock band The Used is coming to the 9:30 Club tonight for its D.C. stop on the Take Action Tour. We Came As Romans, Crown The Empire, and Mindflow will also be performing at the concert, which helps benefit the It Gets Better Project, a campaign that aims to help lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender youths.

Jan. 28: Inventing the Enemy: 1938

Tonight you can attend a staged reading of Inventing the Enemy: 1938, an Italian play by Tonino Tosto that exposes the life-altering effects of propaganda on Italy's Jews during the fascist regime. Director Edward Gero and Nello DeBlasio translated and adapted the play, which will be performed at the Washington DC Jewish Community Center tonight at 7 p.m. The free event will follow a presentation at 6 p.m. entitled The Thread of Memory: Projects and Experiences on Holocaust Remembrance in Saluzzo and the Provinces of Cuneo.
