(Aug. 14-Oct. 7) Don't Mess

Arlington's Signature Theatre is first out the gate with a new season of productions. The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas opens today. The Tony Award-winning musical comedy takes you out to Miss Mona's Chicken Ranch brothel just in time to see a crusading TV personality make it his next moral target. (Aug. 14-16) From Rags to Riches to Rags

For a rags to riches to rags story, The Queen of Versailles is showing at the Bethesda Row Cinema this week. The acclaimed documentary explores the virtues and flaws of the American dream through the rise and fall of one of the country's richest real estate moguls.

(Aug. 14) Kuenta i Tambu

If your ears are eagerly awaiting some fresh sounds Kuenta i Tambu brings traditional Afro-Caribbean music with European dance beats to The Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage tonight. The Amsterdam-based band's name translates to "stories and drums," and the name fits--you will hear lots of singing and chanting laid over infectious beats.
