(June 4) And the beat goes on...

Some folks go Mozart, others go Monk. Some prefer Billie over Bach. If you love your jazz and your friends love their classical and you never really get to go enjoy music together, The Kennedy Center has a social solution for you tonight. It's called Jazz Meets the Classics. Several classical compositions are performed by an all-star lineup of jazz hands, including master clarinetist Paquito D'Rivera.

Little known fact: Avant-garde composer John Cage was an avid writer and visual artist. The founder of Alcoholics Anonymous is given the documentary treatment in Bill W., screening at Northwest's Avalon Theatre through Thursday.
