Bra art returns to the region Wednesday night.
(Oct. 4-Dec. 31) So shiny...
Northwest Washington’s Zenith Gallery has Shining Stars through the end of the year. Five artists present highly shiny materials of all shapes and sizes. Steel, glass, aluminum and bronze works run the gamut from monumental sculptures to three-dimensional wall art to pieces that interact with light sources.
(Oct. 4-24) Freedom to March
Gandhi dropped a lot of metaphors in his day and a new exhibit of Gandhi-inspired artwork keeps a number of them alive with artistic interpretations. Indian artists present Freedom to March at the Gandhi Memorial Center in Bethesda through October 24. The exhibit features hopeful paintings and photographs inspired by the non-violent Salt Satyagraha protest of 1930.
(Oct. 5) Cups Full of Hope
For more hopeful art there’s the 2nd Annual Cups Full of Hope fundraiser tomorrow night at the Greater Reston Arts Center. The exhibition features bra art, like a bra completely composed of beer cartons or a pink fluffy thing inspired by flamingoes.
