(Sept. 22-Oct. 19) Intergalactic, planetary
For some art that explores the sky a little further there’s Of Shining Worlds at the Cafritz Arts Center at Montgomery College in Silver Spring. Anne Marchand’s abstract paintings inspired by NASA photographs of distant planets and galaxies are on display until October 19.

(Sept. 24) Swaporama- rama
If you’re getting your closet ready for fall but not feeling so thrilled with your warmer threads you can bring the unwanted ones to Swaporama-rama in Silver Spring Saturday afternoon and trade them up. Anything leftover gets upcycled by CREATE Arts Center or donated to charity.

(Sept. 25) Fiesta DC
If you need a place to show off your new outfit there’s Fiesta DC all day Sunday in Mount Pleasant. Five stages of music, dance and theater celebrate Latino culture.
