Police Arrest 13-Year-Old For Allegedly Shooting Frederick Teen

Police in Frederick have arrested a 13-year-old boy for a Fourth of July shooting that left a 15-year-old girl injured.

Authorities said the suspect was located late Saturday and taken to a juvenile detention center. He is facing several charges, including assault, reckless endangerment, and possession of a firearm by a minor.

Police say the 15-year-old girl was struck in the leg by a bullet while walking with friends on Sanger Avenue late Friday night. She was treated at a hospital and released.
