Dates Set For Maryland Democratic Debates

Three Maryland Democratic candidates for governor are announcing plans for debates before the June primary.

The campaigns for Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown, Attorney General Doug Gansler and Delegate Heather Mizeur say the first debate will take place on May 7 and will be moderated by NBC's David Gregory. It will be televised in the Washington, D.C., and Hagerstown, Maryland, markets.

A second debate on June 2 will be televised statewide on Maryland Public Television.

The campaigns have also agreed to a radio debate on Baltimore talker WOLB-AM moderated by former state Senator Larry Young. The date for this event has not been set.

The primary is June 24.
