Dancers and customers at The Cloakroom strip club were seen fleeing the premises when a building collapsed on K Street NW.

D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services are on the scene of a building collapse at the intersection of 5th and K streets NW.

Eyewitnesses say they saw people jumping out of second-story windows when the two buildings partially collapsed. One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

This all happened next door to The Cloakroom, a strip club. Dancers and customers at the club were seen exiting onto the street just before 3:30 this afternoon. It appears as though part of the site in the 400 block of K Street NW was under construction.
