Analysis: Lawmakers Stumping For FBI HQ In Maryland

Sens. Barbara Mikulski and Ben Cardin of Maryland will gather in College Park, Md., today to promote Prince George’s County as the new home for the FBI’s headquarters. The government officially announced last year that it was looking for site proposals for the agency’s new headquarters, and it’s had local officials from D.C., Maryland and Virginia all competing to get the big development project built within their borders. Meanwhile, as the March 31 deadline to enroll in the health care exchanges approaches, some local Democratic Congressional lawmakers are still working to highlight the benefits of the health law.
