Analysis: McAuliffe Joins Republicans In Calling For Offshore Drilling

Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe is joining a coalition of governors asking the Interior Department to finalize rules that would allow for more oil and gas drilling along the Atlantic coast. McAuliffe is the only Democrat in the group of governors from Mid-Atlantic and Gulf states. But the Virginia governor's support for offshore drilling could face some resistance from lawmakers north of the Potomac.
